Angela Rose DiMeglio
I was born and raised in New Castle, Delaware, the daughter of Pat and Judy DiMeglio from Chester, Pennsylvania. My three brothers, Larry, Rick and Dave, are 18, 16 and 9 years my senior respectively. Mom and Dad still live in the house I grew up in and I love to go home for the holidays.
Growing up I learned ballet, tap and jazz, sang in choir at school and church, learned gymnastics, was part of the young author's club, and participated in computer team, math league and the science olympics. In addition, I regularly performed in shows, plays, helped launch the first drama club in high school in sixteen years, and start the first school newspaper that was entirely laid out and published on the computer. I was involved in "Quest," a program for gifted and talented students and carried college level classes through high school. I was accepted into the "Governor's School of Excellence" for both art and academics but had to chose only one. I chose art and had a head start on the types of classes I would be taking in college. During my teenage years, I took up horseback riding and volunteered for community service painting signs and murals. Through it all, I knew I wanted to be an animator.
After my high school graduation in 1994, I attended Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida, which was suggested to me by the Disney Animation Studios. It was the first time I was away from home for an extended period of time but I made a lot of great friends and worked hard. Several of my projects were in 'Best of Ringling" and my thesis, "A Narrow Martian of Error" won international recognition and was released on DVD as part of the "Mind's Eye Series" called "Computer Animation Marvels." I earned a BFA in Computer Animation in 1998 and moved to Baltimore, Maryland for work.

My career advanced quickly as I took on two jobs at once and learned everything that came my way. I was creating on-air animations and promotions for FOX45, Flite 3 Studios, Sinclair Broadcasting, and The Pentagon Channel, occasionally operating the live graphics systems in the control room. It was during this time that I expanded my knowledge into web design, print, multimedia design, presentations, and had an oportunity to work as Art Director. I was nominated for an Emmy in June of 2006 and attended the Emmy Awards at the Ritz- Carlton with my parents and brothers. I had started Notorious4, my own full service design company, in 2001 and in September 2007 I started dedicating full time to the business.
I love the outdoors including hiking, kayaking, and finding new views of the sunset. I sew clothes, crafts and enjoy making my own costumes for Halloween, costume parties, and the Maryland Rennaisance Fair. I love to expand my wardrobe with creative elements, fancy belts, funky jewelry, and just last year Chris convinced me to get my ears pierced for the first time! Chris and I recently started working out together and I've really grown to love it.
For our wedding, I've designed the website and related artwork, the cake design for Charm City Cakes, and the wedding invitations and other stationery. I couldn't have done it without Chris' support through my successes and frustrations this past year. There's more surprises in store but you'll have to come and see it for yourself. |
