HOW WE MET
AND OUR FIRST DATE
We met at work through our friend Dave and at the time I was dating someone else. Chris came over to Dave's desk and began chatting tech and sci-fi with us. After that, we were exchanging emails, hanging out together at Starbucks with our laptops, and grabbing a bite to eat now and then.

Our first date was on Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at Slade's American Grill and Bar at Tyson's Corner in McLean, VA. Chris kissed me afterwards in the parking lot.

Roy, the teddy bear

Chris bought me many, many teddy bears. One of these was a white bear that would light up in rainbow colors when his hand was squeezed. I named him Roy G. Bear (as in Roy G. Biv). Little did I know that Roy would end up with a very special purpose.
